Those who have been following along closely with Leaden Hall’s case may have noticed an alteration in the formatting of Wiltshire Council’s Planning Portal website. We note it has affected the whole site, not just Leaden Hall’s applications. It seems to be an unfortunate choice in the update which simply makes the entire website less accessible for those not well-versed in the Planning system, or without large amounts of time to sift through years of documentation, in Leaden Hall’s case.
The change means that differentiating between documents submitted by the applicant, and those submitted as attachments to comments, is now very difficult, as they are listed side-by-side. Those who wish to navigate the site with more ease may find it useful to search using the ‘show filter’ function in the Documents tab, searching by key word, contributor name (where given in the document name), or by date.
We hope this guidance aids those who wish to keep on top of the case as it unfolds, and continue to pay attention to changes in the website in the hope that its update may be altered to be more intuitively navigable to members of the public.
