Letter in the Salisbury Journal by local resident Lloyd Slater
In response to a local councillor (and member of the Southern Area Planning Committee), Sven Hocking, who had claimed that most Close residents supported the planning application. Mr Slater wrote: “… there are almost 200 comments on the Wiltshire Council planning portal; most objecting and many from residents. Other objections come from further afield, due to Leaden Hall’s national and international importance. Those against include the Georgian Group, the Gardens Trust, the Close Preservation Society and experts in architecture, art, historic landscapes, law and planning policy.”
